Bigger Than Teddy Bear Day

Today is September 11th of 2006, the fifth anniversary of the deadliest terrorist attacks against our nation.

On the morning of September 11th, 2001, 19 men affiliated with al-Qaeda hijacked four different airlines. Two of these airlines, the United 175 and the American 11 flew into the World Trade centers, causing them to collapse. A third, the American 77, crashed into the Pentagon. The fourth airliner, United 73, was hijacked but later courageously attempted to be retaken by the passengers and members of the aircraft. These people used all they could to stop the worst from happening...In their daring attempt to retake the aircraft, United 73 had crashed into a field near Shanksville, Penn.

Along with the 19 hijackers, a total number of 2,973 people lost their lives that day and still 24 people are missing. Many people, normal business men, passerbys, police and firemen alike, most likely lost their lives trying to save as many people as they could.

Lets use this day to remember all those lives lost. To remember their bravery; to remember them as normal people lost to a horrific terrorist attack. In anyway, lets use this day to remember them. God Bless.
