I Will Survive???

Yes...I am alive and this blog is alive! Just taking a hibernation while I, the spokesman of the blog, take the matters at hand. No body has posted for awhile, but I feel like typing so you're all in an unlucky situation. Because it's been so long, I'm going to be doing reviews for a few movies rather than one. The only thing is that I cant remember all the movies...so bear (bare) with me.

Spartan.
Rated R for violence, language and some thematic elements.
It's basically about a guy who is in the works (played by Val Kilmer), such as CIA, FBI, he's with them all, and he does what he's told.
When a high government official's daughter is kidnapped he takes on the case. The only thing that's wrong is he has no clue what has actually happened to her...And the cop guy is ending up against his own team in the hunt for the daughter.
Yeah, this movie sounds cheesy, but if you watch it you get more of the plot and everything. The movie was a so-so thriller, which always turn out good.
There is a twist in the movie that turns out pretty good. But the movie was lacking and also not lacking... 4 stars

Chronicles of Riddick
Rated PG-13 for sci-fi violence
The movie starts off with an introduction by the narrator type person. And is showing the power of the Necromangers, a religion/army who takes over the world practically using the motto "convert or die". Riddick (played by Vin Diesal) is caught up in one of the Necro's world invasions and becomes entangled with the whole "end of the galaxy" ploy. It was also fortold that a Furion (a race that Riddick was a part of) would be the only person able to destroy the ruler of the Necros' leader, played by the guy who is the devil in "The Perfect Storm.". The plot goes on to make the movie longer, but all in all I thought the movie actually showed itself really well. I expected a terrible movie but I actually watched it almost twice. The action was very stylized and the music was actually worth while also. 4 stars

Pitch Black
R for violence, drug use, and language.
This is the first of the chronicles of Riddick...It's about a caravan of people flying in space getting railed with a meteor shower. The caravan falls and lands on a bright, desert island and the people figure out there is a largely known killer on the loose. But he's the least of their problems...When a world eclipse is about to shadow over the whole world and darkness-dwelling aliens take scene, the people turn to Riddick, who can see in the dark, to lead them the way to a hangar with a ship that's almost ready to launch.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. At times Riddick seems like the terminator (mainly when he's dislocating his arms and pops them back in). But all in all this movie fit with itself. 4 stars.

Well I'll edit more reviews on this when I have time, but I gotta get ready for Mass. Damien
