Saints and Soldiers
Rated PG-13 for War Violence
A whole company of Americansoldiers was behind enemy lines...held prisoner (WWII style), with no thought of help. But when one idiotic soldier tries to shoot down 100 Germans by knocking down one German and taking his rifle, the whole company of Americans start getting mowed down as they try to flee from the woods (they werent being held prisoner in a camp yet, they looked like they just got caught. Only 4 of the company escape alive, with one rifle between them behind enemy lines. As they hide out they luckily see a British trooper fall into the trees. He's part of a little secretive group that has a ton of valuable info on where the Germans will be attacking next. But he was shot down and is now stuck with the 4 behind enemy lines. They all decide to try and beat the Germans by running through the forest (instead of the road the Germans are taking) in thick snow before the Germans get to the city (which is a few miles away).
This is basically another WWII movie, but different from all of them at the same time. I dont remember the actors or anything but they all did fairly well and action was clean (no blood or guts or anything), which was still really good with how the action was played. Haha to be honest at first thought I thought it'd be no good (we found it in the Catholic Press magazine), but I enjoyed the movie the whole way through. 4 stars (****)

Alright...since no one is commenting I guess I'll be nice and do it. ;-) I saw this movie a while ago. I was thinking the same thing about it not being all that great...but I thought it was pretty good.

Nice review, Dameo, though I had already seen it when I read this post. I did like the movie somewhat because it developed the characters really well and the story was well writen. Thought some of the dialogue was cheasy. The "war violence" wasn't cheasy or bad, like some unrealistic war movies. Pretty nice movie all around.

The only thing I thought was weird was how the Americans did so good against so many Germans...I mean I could expect that from them, but the medics priority job is to pump people up with drugs...he was good at shooting and rolling grenades as well (which I didnt care, as long as it brought action :-D )
